The Special K is a 37' Striker sport fishing vessel. The Strikers are all aluminum hull blue-water sport-fishing machines renowned for raising fish. She is equipped for fishing with an in-deck insulated fish box, 50 gallon live well on her aft deck, outriggers and on-deck freezer.

Her cabin is air conditioned, has full stand-up head with shower if needed, and a full galley.

She is powered by late model Cummins diesels which give her a 18 to 20 knot cruise. Her engine room is sound insulated to give her passengers a quiet ride out to the fishing grounds.

The Captain has a full array of electronics including radar, 2 VHF radios, 2 depth finders, water temperature indicator, 2 GPS chart-plotters, and a Loran. She is also equipped for electric reels for bottom fishing.

Weather permitting, we schedule trips from in-shore to 70 miles off-shore.

The rates for fishing trips with up to 6 people are:

Half day, inshore to 20 miles out, 4 hours: $575.00

Three quarter day, to 20 miles out, 6 hours: $800.00

All day, to 30 miles, 8 hours: $1,000.00

Full day, to 50 miles out, 11-12 hours: $1,500.00

Off-shore ledge trip, to 70 miles out, 12-14 hours: $1,700.00

A fuel surcharge may be added based upon the current price of fuel.

Terms are simple: 50% deposit at time of booking, balance upon boarding. You can cancel up to 5 days before your trip with a full refund. 10% of your deposit is charge for each day closer to the trip date. Trips cancelled by the Captain due to weather are fully refunded. If the weather is bad on the day of your trip, you can change to a shorter trip or reschedule.
